I want to believe they are intended for something good -- like, stopping flood waters or ... stopping a nose bleed for the giant in Jack and the Beanstalk.
That is interesting, but you know that will drive me crazy now, at least until I find out what they are or were used for.
rupe, you find the strangest things! if anyone finds out what the heck those are, please let me know...ASAP...cause i fear of losing too much beauty sleep over this.
