Flagpole

1.30.9 (#21 ...)

It's a long, long way up that flagpole. (And there is a flag up there, believe it or don't ....)

Contributing To Unemployment

1.24.9 (#15 ...)

After taking a gander at this display, I wouldn't be surprised if the manager of the store fired the employee that put together this fine example of color-coordinated gems.

And the stringy yarn hair puts the finishing touch on the pieces ... don't you think?.

Klingons

1.21.9 (#12th of never)

There are strange cloud formations and there are strange cloud formations.

And then, there are these.

Look carefully from the first photo to the last.

Photo one thorough four are all of the same "spike" formation. By the time you get to the fifth photo, the spike is well on it's way to dissipating, with another forming to its left.

Ultimately, in the final photo, this second spike has taken on a surreal likeness to an insignia all Star Trek fans out there will recognize immediately: That of the Klingon Empire!

Mayhap a sign Klingons really do exist?

Harold

1.10.9 (1 of many)

Whist de-decorating houses of their holiday coverings all over Arcadia Saturday, I came across several peacocks and peahens wandering about in a few yards.

This particular peacock - Harold - was engaged in attracting an utterly disinterested peahen.

It must have been the locale he'd picked to display his wares: A leaf-strewn concrete driveway ....

F ( STOP ) Project Launch ...

I've decided to launch a photo project.

The inspiration for this new venture was born of several individuals. Among them are Pat Glennon and JT. You may have seen others doing same.

Their ambitious projects detail a photo a day posted on their blogs. I have many compunctions about doing such, mainly that I won't be able to commit to something so grand and demanding as a daily feature. I believe from the onset I would fail miserably.

What I will do is post an original photo as frequently as I am able.

Please enjoy my efforts. Comments welcomed and encouraged.
